Accueil Vélo is a national brand carried by France Cycling Tourism, already deployed on the major routes such as the Loire à Vélo, or the Vélodyssée. On our territory, it is the V80 " Canal of the 2 Seas by Bike », which follows the Canal du Midi.
The Accueil Vélo brand
The brand Accueil Vélo makes it possible to identify the establishments and places offering reception and services adapted to bicycle tourists, located near (less than 5 km) from a route registered in the national scheme of cycle routes.
On our territory, it is the V80 " Canal of the 2 Seas by Bike », which follows the Canal du Midi. It is the Aude Tourist Development Agency (ADT11) which organizes the deployment of the brand for our department and participates in the inter-departmental itinerary committee. We have signed an agreement with the ADT11 which designates us as referent organization for Cycling Welcome for our sector, namely the perimeter of the Community of Communes of the Lézignanaise Corbières and Minervois Region.
Can be labeled, provided that they comply with the Accueil Vélo specifications:
- Tourist accommodation (classified, labeled or qualified),
- The restaurants,
- Bicycle repairers and rental companies,
- Tourist Offices, Tourist Offices, Tourist Information Points.
- Tourist sites (e.g. cellars and estates, galleries and museums, local shops, etc.)
The label is awarded to candidates for a period of 3 years (renewable). The ADT11 has negotiated with France Vélo Tourisme that the label be free.

Deployment scope
The brand can be deployed at a maximum of 5 km from the Canal du Midi (V80). 9 municipalities within our scope are concerned:
- Directly on the Canal du Midi: Homps, Argens-Minervois, Roubia, Paraza.
- Less than 5 km away: Saint-Couat-d'Aude, Roquecourbe-Minervois, Castelnau-d'Aude, Tourouzelle, Escales, Lézignan-Corbières, Canet-d'Aude.
Why become a Accueil Vélo?
Accueil Vélo service providers undertake to offer specific services adapted to cycle tourists, in accordance with the brand specifications.
This allows in return:
– To enter a network of preferred service providers,
- The benefit from promotional materials pooled by all the institutional partners, from the departmental level to the national level.
By way of example (not exhaustive), the labeled service providers will appear on the site Canal des 2 mers by bike et France Cycle tourism, which allow cycle tourists to plan their holidays, as well as on the ADT de l'Aude website (www.audetourisme.com), the website www.tourisme-corbieres-minervois.com, etc.
Another example of promotional action from which Accueil Vélo service providers will benefit: a selection appears on the Backpacker's Guide The Canal des 2 mers by Bike.
A brochure has also been published by the Corbières Minervois Intercommunal Tourist Office. It is distributed in tourist offices and at trade fairs in which we and our partners take part. Content promoting the itinerary has been written on the website www.tourisme-corbieres-minervois.com
Accueil Vélos service providers are also highlighted during various promotional operations: Press reception, Bloggers/influencers, etc.
