The Saint-Jacques hermitage, Saint-Martin de la Vernède

You will start off from the Coude sharecropping farm, situated on the territory of Saint-André de Roquelongue and follow the hiking trail which will lead you to the heights of the woody massif of la Vernède, at the place called l’ermitage Saint-Jacques.
You can admire the remains of the pre-Romanesque church dedicated to Saint-Martin, which became a hermitage in the 17th Century, but above all, you will be won over by the magnificent panoramic view over the Montagne Noire and its Pic de Nore, the powerful Alaric of the Corbières, the Fontfroide massif, Mount Saint-Victor and Mont Tauch.
