THE LITERARY BISTROT

The literary café, labeled "Café de Pays", is located in the medieval abbey of Lagrasse, in the premises of the Maison du Banquet and generations. It opens onto a large terrace which extends into the wooded park, bordered by the Orbieu river. From there, there are magnificent views over the medieval village of Lagrasse and the surrounding hills, with its varied vegetation (cypresses, holm oaks, pines, scrubland, etc.).
The Café offers hot and cold drinks all year round: homemade fruit juices, syrups, coffee, tea, locally produced wines and toast.
By its proximity to the Le Nom de l'Homme Bookstore, it is said here that the taste of wine mixes with that of words!

Additional Information :
From May 1st to September 30th, the literary bistro is open during the same opening hours as the building. From October 1st to April 30th, 2026, the bistro is only open in the event of a cultural event at the medieval Abbey of Lagrasse, cultural center Les arts de lire (bookseller meetings, philosophy cafés, bistro evenings, book banquets, concerts and shows, themed days or weekends, etc.).
