The origin of the Domaine de Gléon dates back to ancient times. This is attested by numerous Gallo-Roman and Visigothic remains. The Estate belonged for a millennium to the Treille-Gléon-Durban-Narbonne family. The Château de Gléon defended the entrance to the Hautes Corbières. It was besieged by the Spanish in 1503. The last Marquise de Gléon sold it to the ancestors of the current owners in 1861. Since then, the Bonnes, then the Montanié, have managed the operation of Château Gléon from father to son. Six generations have succeeded each other in order to ensure the prosperity and quality of the terroirs of Château Gléon. The first “bottling” date from the end of the 19th century.
The Estate is located at the gates of Hautes Corbières, Canton of Durban, commune of Villesèque des Corbières at the entrance to the Vallée du Paradis. Its surface area is 305 hectares, 50 of which are vines. Wines appellations Corbières and Vallée du Paradis
