THE IRIS CLOSERIE THE COTTAGE

In Castelnau d'Aude, a small village surrounded by vineyards and scrubland, you'll stay in a peaceful setting, ideal for exploring the Minervois region on foot or by mountain bike. Just 2 km away, the Canal du Midi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, invites you to enjoy pleasant walks along the water. Heritage enthusiasts will appreciate the Caunes-Minervois Abbey with its pink marble, the spectacular character of the Cité de Minerve, or the caves of the Montagne Noire. Further afield, the medieval city of Carcassonne and the Cathar Country's highlights offer superb ideas for day trips.
The Closerie des Iris gîte is located on a property shared with bed and breakfast rooms. It boasts a large, enclosed park of 3,600 m², surrounded by high walls and landscaped with shaded areas. The large 11 x 5 m swimming pool, shared with the bed and breakfast guests, is a real asset on sunny days. A pétanque court completes the outdoor amenities. A secure parking space is available free of charge.
Entirely on one level, the cottage opens onto a bright and functional living room with an integrated kitchen, leading directly onto a private terrace. You can enjoy garden furniture and an electric barbecue for outdoor meals. The accommodation has a separate bathroom and toilet. A laundry service may be available at the owners' property. Heating is electric.
For sleeping arrangements, the gîte offers:
-a bedroom with 1 double bed (160 cm)
-a room with two single beds (90cm) that can be joined to make a double bed (180cm)
Fan in each room.

Introductory watercolor courses are available and can be booked on site with the owners.
