1

Step 1

Via the rue de la Couverte, cross the top of the village. Take rue Cabaïrido, cross the bridge and take the path on the right along the stream for 120 m. Fork left on the path along the low wall, turn right on the path bordered by a dry stone wall in the shade of a few trees, then go up the road for about 600 m in the vineyards.
2

Step 2

At the end of the last vine, take the path on the right at the edge of the low wall. Bordered by boxwood, junipers and cadas from Phenicia, the Cabaïrido path rises and rushes through the rocks, in the Porte du Château. It arrives at the edge of the plateau (on the right, a ruined sheepfold with a single-pitched roof to protect itself from the wind).
3

Step 3

Take the track on the right for 500 m. The plateau is occupied by scrubland, shrub vegetation and some rocky meadows. Win a crossover. > A round trip in front (east) allows you to contemplate the Mediterranean, from Gruissan to Port-La-Nouvelle as well as the Pyrenees (view in the distance on the blades of the wind turbines of the Lastours domain; on the right, view on the massif of Mont-Saint-Victor and the Corbières chain).
4

Step 4

Take the track on the right. It serves the wind turbines. At the fork, stay on the right track. She walks along the edge of the plateau.
5

Step 5

In the bend, leave the track and turn right onto the stony path (old cart lane) on a balcony which plunges down towards the valley. It opens into a vineyard. Go down the road (The yellow markings of the loop are lined with orange markings for riders).
6

Step 6

Take the D 50 on the right. She passes near an old plaster factory and leads back to the village.

Be careful, the fire risk is often high, especially in summer, and can lead to flower bed closures. Find out before you go consulting the fire risk map for outdoor activities.
Fires strictly prohibited. Do not smoke and never throw cigarette butts in nature. Fires are numerous and catastrophic in our region. In the event of a fire or accident: give alert 18 or 112 from a cell phone.
Protect yourself from the sun and take enough water with you.
Avoid picking flowers and plants. Take all your trash. Close fences and keep dogs on a leash in pasture areas, villages and protected areas.

Mountain bike routes: the routes are often shared with hikers or other users (cars, tractors, etc.). Be careful and always anticipate that a pedestrian may be present around a bend to have time to brake if necessary. Pedestrians have priority in principle, slow down at crossings or stop if the configuration of the terrain requires you to do so.
Thank you and happy hiking!

Beautiful easy loop that takes you up to the ridge where you walk among massive windmills and have a view of the Mediterranean sea on one side and the village on the other. The trail is well marked by yellow arrows and is quite easy. I didn't see a single other hiker.
