1

Step 1

Cross the D 40 and follow the alleys on the hillside opposite, pass in front of the church, “Carrièra d'Al Boisset”; continue the ascent of Termes by a sunken lane. (Junction with the GR 36 A coming from Mayronnes)
2

Step 2

Go up a narrow path buried in the brush to the right. At the cross, continue straight on following a wide path in the undergrowth which leads to a bend in the D 40.
3

Step 3

(Except GR for Creuille 3 km 45 min) Take the D 40 on the left for 300 m; go down a path to the left until a crossroads. Continue opposite. A descent then a slightly steep climb leads to a big bend. Enter the state forests of Villerouge and Termes and walk along the contours of the massif (view of the Libre valley and the hamlet of Creuille). Cross several streams.
4

Step 4

Take the track (464 m) to the left for approximately 750 m (view of the Clape de Villerouge cliff). At the exit of the big bend, fork on the path to the left. Sometimes steep descent, winding in the undergrowth.
5

Step 5

Reach the Libre dam (ford crossing). Go up opposite and continue on the path. Cross the ford and follow the track along the Bac du Four stream, in a deep valley to the chapel of Notre Dame des Prats. Stay on the track to bypass the chapel.
6

Step 6

At the end of the bend, cross the Youles stream and climb to the right by the balcony path above the valley. Walk among the junipers, holm oaks and boxwood. Go around the Pech Rigaud. At the bottom, turn left and continue straight on the grassy path alongside the field. Reach the village (town hall) by the Camin de la Bassa.

Be careful, the fire risk is often high, especially in summer, and can lead to flower bed closures. Find out before you go consulting the fire risk map for outdoor activities.
Fires strictly prohibited. Do not smoke and never throw cigarette butts in nature. Fires are numerous and catastrophic in our region. In the event of a fire or accident: give alert 18 or 112 from a cell phone.
Protect yourself from the sun and take enough water with you.
Avoid picking flowers and plants. Take all your trash. Close fences and keep dogs on a leash in pasture areas, villages and protected areas.

Mountain bike routes: the routes are often shared with hikers or other users (cars, tractors, etc.). Be careful and always anticipate that a pedestrian may be present around a bend to have time to brake if necessary. Pedestrians have priority in principle, slow down at crossings or stop if the configuration of the terrain requires you to do so.
Thank you and happy hiking!
