Step 1

From the cooperative cellar: go up towards the village. Pass the cemetery, continue on the tarmac and at the 2nd fork, turn left between the vines. Follow the LHT. Access the garrigue by a steep passage uphill in the slope to the left of a vineyard. Go twice under the LHT. The relief is then softer, on the track under the foothills of the Alaric. Pass a third time under the LHT before turning left (NE) towards the pine forest of La Peyrouse. At the next crossroads, leave the route marked in PR (yellow) "Around Peyrouse" and go left. At the next crossroads (about 2m), leave the track on the left that goes up towards Alaric and turn right on the flat between the vines and pastures. We find the shade of the pines (route partly shared with the yellow PR). The small downhill road takes us to the foot of the ND de Consolation chapel then to Fabrezan. After the Orbieu bridge, turn left on a small road (part shared with the C3 and C400 for about 9m). Follow the Nielle river due south on the vineyard paths then join the D10. Go up it a few meters towards Fabrezan and then head south on the small road along the vines of La Boutignane. About 600m before the Belle Vue farm, turn right on a track. The vines give way to the garrigue then to the pine woods. At about 611 kms, do not miss the view of the clue of the ravine of the Combe Duc on your right. An opening on the plain of Vaugelas and the massif of Alaric. After passing under the LHT, arriving at an intersection: go to the right, bypassing the Bessons hill (part shared with the C800 for 3m) then go down on the track to the right in the direction of Ribaute. Go up the D2 for a few meters in the direction of the village and turn right into rue de la Gare (at the end on the left, rue de l'Orbieu leads to the medieval bridge and to the bathing point). Continue to the right on the Chemin du Rec Tourrent. Go down to the left that of Las Faichos (before the old cooperative cellar). After crossing the Orbieu ford, leave the GR1500 markings on the left and turn right onto the small road then the D612 towards Camplong.

Be careful, the fire risk is often high, especially in summer, and can lead to flower bed closures. Find out before you go consulting the fire risk map for outdoor activities.
Fires strictly prohibited. Do not smoke and never throw cigarette butts in nature. Fires are numerous and catastrophic in our region. In the event of a fire or accident: give alert 18 or 112 from a cell phone.
Protect yourself from the sun and take enough water with you.
Avoid picking flowers and plants. Take all your trash. Close fences and keep dogs on a leash in pasture areas, villages and protected areas.

Mountain bike routes: the routes are often shared with hikers or other users (cars, tractors, etc.). Be careful and always anticipate that a pedestrian may be present around a bend to have time to brake if necessary. Pedestrians have priority in principle, slow down at crossings or stop if the configuration of the terrain requires you to do so.
Thank you and happy hiking!

Hello / Good evening, 4 stars for this course and not 5 because there is a difficulty that I personally find impossible to overcome, the short steep slope of rugged land (at Combe Grande) with a percentage of 30% ... Forced to climb on foot and even like that it is not easy and yet I do not lack training. So I find that putting my feet on the ground spoils the ride a bit for people like me who play a bit on performance. Otherwise the rest of the route is very interesting for people with a minimum of training because there is still a climb of almost 6 kilometers before going back down to Ribaute. Moreover, this descent is a bit hilly. The rest of the route remains relatively feasible. Cordially.

Nice little hike, the first hill is just impossible to climb without electric assistance, the rest is much more accessible with pretty points of view in the rocky massifs, small more rolling part during the crossing of Fabrezan which allows us to recover before attack the long coast in the direction of Bernède. The return is fairly easy via Ribaute, taking many asphalt junctions. If I do it again next year, I will try to ride in the opposite direction of the markings in order to be able to complete the entire route on my bike and finish with a very technical descent!

Circuit that on paper seems short. The start is pleasant at CAMPLONG D'AUDE but after 3 km the difficulties begin, especially with this vertical slope (up to 33%) which leads to the High Voltage lines. The view is beautiful. The circuit softens up to FABREZAN. The markup (circuit 12) is perfect, plus a GPS that is difficult to lose track of. The path is easy to LA BOUTIGNANE. Then it attacks "in the hard". The path rises gradually but the ground is very unstable (pebbles like railroad ballast). For 4 km it climbs with nice percentages. At the top, a splendid view of the Clue du Ravin de la COMBE DUC. Scabrous descent (poor condition of the stony path) to RIBAUTE. The return is on the road (we join the Route du CONGOUST). A beautiful circuit with magnificent views. I had fun even if sometimes it was hard (at least for me!)
