Step 1

From the cooperative cellar, take the D123, avenue des Corbières, for a few meters in the direction of the village, before turning left on rue des Poissonnières, behind the distillery. At the intersection, go 150m to the left and at the fork take the small road on the right. We then turn right, on a path bordered by a row of wind turbines. Join the D261 and continue opposite through the vineyards. After crossing the Tourrenc stream, take the path on the left then the small road which follows it. Turn left after Luc sur Orbieu cemetery, rue de Canos. Leave the village via rue du Château d'eau and Chemin de Ferrals. Pass under the motorway and turn immediately left onto the small road. After about 500m, turn right and continue on the tar along the Chemin des Vignals until the D161, at the entrance to Boutenac. Cross the village on the D161 and at the exit, take Chemin de Ténarel, on the left. At about 1200m, at the intersection, turn left for about 250m then right on a path which joins a small asphalt road. Go left, pass in front of the Aigues Vives property, continue straight ahead and at the intersection turn right. Cross the D123 and go straight on the path on the edge of the old mill. At the intersection, turn left towards the motorway. We join the D123 passing on the motorway then the cooperative cellar of Ornaisons.

Be careful, the fire risk is often high, especially in summer, and can lead to flower bed closures. Find out before you go consulting the fire risk map for outdoor activities.
Fires strictly prohibited. Do not smoke and never throw cigarette butts in nature. Fires are numerous and catastrophic in our region. In the event of a fire or accident: give alert 18 or 112 from a cell phone.
Protect yourself from the sun and take enough water with you.
Avoid picking flowers and plants. Take all your trash. Close fences and keep dogs on a leash in pasture areas, villages and protected areas.

Mountain bike routes: the routes are often shared with hikers or other users (cars, tractors, etc.). Be careful and always anticipate that a pedestrian may be present around a bend to have time to brake if necessary. Pedestrians have priority in principle, slow down at crossings or stop if the configuration of the terrain requires you to do so.
Thank you and happy hiking!

Marc ESCATO The 29 July 2021
Living in ORNAISONS, I went to "test" this circuit. I know the surrounding slopes well but I wanted to follow the circuit by following the N ° 11 signs. It is an ideal circuit for riding with the family. At the end, the return is a little difficult for children with sloping, tricky and stony terrain. But on the whole it is very secure and allows you to drive away from road traffic.
