Master glassmaker and painter, Axelle Lecoester restores the old works entrusted to her and perpetuates a centuries-old traditional technique, testimony to the history of society in religious and civil architecture. Craftsman of the artistic wishes of its sponsors, it also manufactures doors, windows and other contemporary projects. With her oxides and lead, she likes to explore the limits of traditional stained glass by working with volumes and open shapes. The candle holder, chosen for the sites of the Cathar Country, is one of the usual objects created in its exhibition space in the medieval city of Lagrasse. Axelle also creates glass objects, all unique and signed pieces: orchid planters, lights, mirrors, jewelry… to be discovered in her workshop and exhibition room Other Days, in the heart of the village of Lagrasse.
