Bouisse borrowed its name from boxwood, this shrub particularly present on the slopes of the limestone greenhouses that surround it. The town is located in the heart of the Corbières and lists as places and monuments the Dolmen of Clot de l'Hoste, the church built from 1650 to 1659, the chapel of Saint Pancrace formerly Notre Dame d'Ourière and the Milobre de Bouisse which culminates at 878m. altitude. The bucolic meadows of Bouisse that you can admire during the hike "L'alpage des Corbières" confirm the pastoral character of this territory.
Boissa takes its name from the wood, aquel arbrilhon particularament present suls penjals dels sèrres calcaris que l'enròdan.
The comuna se trapa al còr de Corbièras and ten coma luòcs and remarkable monuments: the dolmèn del Clòt de l'Òste, the glèisa bastida between 1650 and 1659, the capèla de sant Pancraci (other còps Nòstra-Dòna D'Orièra) and lo Milòbre of Boissa (878 m).
