A region of imagination / Al país de l’imaginari

A popular etymological interpretation tells us that the name Corbières stems from Còrb, ‘corbeau’ (crow): home of the crows. The Minervois is named after the Roman goddess Minerva. It goes without saying that these myths and legends have helped in shaping the region’s realm of illusion, spread by oral tradition and the tales told during the long evenings of winter or those of the longer working cycles like the harvests or the grape-picking.
